Money to e-wallet. Electronic wallet: which one is better to choose? Support one currency

With the development of trade via the Internet, a new type of payment unit has emerged - electronic money, which the user can store in a virtual wallet.

Online payments can be made using different systems. Today there are three most popular electronic wallets: Yandex.Money, WebMoney and Qiwi.

All of them have existed for more than one year, so there is no doubt about the reliability and security of the payments made. And to make it clearer to you what features each of them has, let’s look at which e-wallet is better to have.

Each platform offers its own rules for conducting financial transactions, so the fee for its use may also vary.

We will focus on only three criteria that are set for the payment system:

  1. how easy and reliable it is to use such a wallet. User friendliness is the main point that people pay attention to. It is logical that difficulties with registration can scare away potential clients, and the illusion of insecurity when depositing or withdrawing funds can play a cruel joke;
  2. popularity and liquidity of this type of electronic money. So, it will probably be more convenient for users from Russia to use Yandex, since with its help you can pay with a card in supermarkets, pay for utilities and much more without having to cash out your balance and pay a commission for it. In a number of other countries, another type of electronic money may be widespread; this currency is supported here, there are terminals, and most stores and services in the country accept, for example, WebMoney;
  3. how functional the system is. The user may need a number of options, the presence of which in the payment system will determine its functionality and ease of use. It is generally accepted that the best wallet should have a simple personal account, confirmation of the operation using a code on a mobile phone, and several options for authorization in the system.

WebMoney payment system

When wondering which e-wallet is best to choose, people prefer WebMoney, since here you can create several wallets in different currencies and, if necessary, transfer funds from one to another at the conversion rate.

A separate virtual account is created for each monetary unit; the number of wallets that can be opened by one user is not limited.

Types of wallets

So you can only use ruble currency, but you can also create:

  • WMZ – dollar and WME – euro;
  • WMU – hryvnia;
  • WMB – Belarusian rubles;
  • And even WMX, on which you can store the bitcoin cryptocurrency.

If we talk about the prevalence of the system, then if an online store supports payment from an electronic wallet, then most likely you can pay with WebMoney here.

Banknotes can be exchanged between wallets and withdrawn to bank cards or accounts. The client can also pay for utilities directly from his personal account, replenish his mobile account and much more.

The functionality of the wallet will depend on what type of certificate the user receives. So, in order to become the owner of a personal and formal passport, you must provide scanned copies of the client’s identity documents.

Otherwise, you will have to be content with a pseudonym certificate, which imposes restrictions on the transactions performed.

It is difficult to say whether this is beneficial or not for the average user. On the one hand, the registration procedure is not that complicated, but you will have to wait 1-2 business days for the documents to be verified by the administration, and many people do not trust personal data to such services.

On the other hand, everything is done with the goal of protecting your money, so in this regard, extra precaution is justified. In terms of versatility, WebMoney is one step ahead compared to its competitors.

Only after verification will the client be able to perform various types of transactions with funds. Here you won’t be able to specify the details of a stranger. Otherwise, you cannot use a huge number of operations or withdraw funds.

By the way, the commission here is quite loyal - only 0.8% of the amount will be written off for the transaction. Therefore, many citizens believe that payments using this payment system are profitable.

Certificate system

As for limits, only those system participants who indicated their real mobile phone number are exempt from restrictions on depositing and withdrawing money. The maximum amount for a WMR wallet is:

  1. for a pseudonym certificate 45,000 rubles;
  2. formal – 200 thousand;
  3. initial – 900 thousand;
  4. personal – 9,000,000 rubles.

Transfer limits

Restrictions on other types of wallets can be found in the section wiki.webmoney.ru. By the way, there are daily limits (a threshold amount no more than which a user can send funds within a day). For an alias certificate:

  • per day 15,000;
  • per week 45,000
  • per day 90,000 (only with regards to WMR wallet).

For comparison, a user with a formal certificate must fit into the monthly ruble wallet limit of 200 thousand, 200 thousand and 60 thousand per week and per day, respectively.

What's the result? First of all, it will be beneficial for the client himself to go through the verification procedure in order to get rid of strict limits on transactions and fully use the electronic payment system.

Yandex service. Money

This service was created to work with individuals, but not commercial organizations, which is also worth considering when choosing which e-wallet is best to open in Russia. The base currency in this system is the Russian ruble.

To complete the registration procedure, you only need a Yandex email. The client can also order the issuance of a plastic card, which will be linked to a wallet and can easily be used to pay at the supermarket, pay for utilities, or simply cash out.

Integration with social media networks

Attention! You can transfer funds from card to card directly in your personal account, but only if both cards belong to Russian banks. The operation is carried out with a commission of 1.5% of the amount (min, 35 rubles). For transfers from wallet to wallet, a commission is debited in the amount of 0.5%.

Transfers have other limits, which will depend on the client’s status (anonymous can increase it and will not have to comply with the limits):

  1. you can transfer 60 thousand rubles at a time from a wallet to a personal wallet, all 400 thousand are identified;
  2. You are allowed to transfer 15 thousand from a wallet to a card for registered ones and 75 thousand for identified ones. Daily and monthly limits are 150 and 600 thousand, respectively.

An obvious advantage of the payment system is the ease of creating a wallet, because you only need a mailbox in Yandex mail. Much attention is paid to the security of wallets, but it cannot be said that the money is 100% safe and in any case there remains a risk of hacking and theft.

Therefore, it makes sense to set up user identification and ensure that notifications about all operations are sent to the wallet owner’s mobile phone.

In addition, users can download a mobile application, with which managing cash flows on their balance sheet becomes even easier and more convenient.

Payment service QIWI Wallet

With its help, you can also quickly pay bills or purchases in an online store, top up someone else’s wallet or bank card, and also withdraw funds.

As users themselves note, this is an ideal option that is suitable for people who want to periodically make small payments.

For 29 rubles a month, you can activate the SMS notification service to ensure that you protect your money from intruders and receive notifications about all transactions on your smartphone.

Advantages of Qiwi

The registration process is as simplified as possible; you do not need to go through personal identification and provide your passport details. The wallet number will be your mobile number, which was specified during registration. The benefits are obvious:

  • just a couple of minutes to create a wallet;
  • a lot of terminals to top up your account and you can download a mobile application to your smartphone;
  • it is possible to issue a plastic Visa QIWI Wallet card, which can be used to pay for purchases on the Internet, top up your account without paying a commission, and much more;
  • no need to go through authorization;
  • The interface is simple and convenient, with a minimum of complex settings.

One of the inconveniences is the fact that a large number of plastic cards from different banks of the Russian Federation simply cannot be topped up. It is worth talking in more detail about commissions and current restrictions.

Transfers from wallet to wallet in the system are carried out instantly, without the need to pay a commission, the minimum payment amount is a penny, and the maximum is 15 thousand rubles.

For transfers to a bank card in Russia and other countries, we pay 2% of the amount and an additional 50/100 rubles, respectively. You can transfer only 600 thousand rubles within Russia, and 150 thousand rubles per week abroad.

Cash withdrawal limits

If you want to get a Visa QIWI Wallet card, then depending on its tariff plan, rates and limits for cash withdrawals and transfers will change:

  1. QIWI Visa Plastic – 5 thousand per day and 20 thousand per month for anonymous persons, 5 and 40 thousand respectively for standard identification. This simple classic card is delivered throughout Russia for 149 rubles.
  2. QIWI Visa Plastic with a chip is issued under similar conditions, delivery costs 199 rubles, the user has the opportunity to pay by touch;
  3. QIWI Visa Premium +− is an extended withdrawal limit of 5 thousand per day and 40 thousand rubles per month for anonymous and standard, as well as 600 thousand per day/month for the “Maximum” identification type.

It is recommended to complete identification in advance so as not to encounter the restrictions described above. As you can see, each wallet has its own strengths and weaknesses, rates for transfers and withdrawals vary, so you should choose the one that suits your needs.

Of course, everyone knows that the Internet is a virtual world. And, like any world, the Virtual one has its own currency - electronic money. And any resident of the vast expanse has endless freedom of action when using electronic money. But it is worth remembering that the World Wide Web is not only social networks, communication with family and friends, but also great opportunities provided by numerous electronic systems money

Today, almost no one will be surprised by such a simple action as ordering tickets through the World Wide Web or, say, purchases in online stores, paid from electronic wallets. However, one of the important conditions for such services is the availability of a special currency for the electronic money system on the Internet.

The topic of electronic money has become quite popular and often discussed. But many have not managed to fully understand what electronic currency is? What is it for? And how to properly manage such money.

So, electronic money is the newest form of money, used only on the Internet. In essence, this type of currency is no different from the paper money we are used to.

The forms of using electronic money are different. Today, this type of currency is successfully used on the Internet to pay for goods or utilities. Let's take a closer look at the main reasons that influenced the popularity of electronic currency on the Internet.

First of all, it's convenient. After all, knowing how to put money into an electronic wallet and how to withdraw money from it, you can make payments on the Internet.

How to put electronic money in your wallet?

One of the ways to deposit cash into an electronic wallet is to use payment terminals, they are available in many stores, communication shops, etc. Knowing your electronic wallet number, you select the electronic money system you need in the terminal and top up your wallet through the terminal.

Other way to top up your electronic wallet with cash- this is to print a receipt for replenishment by bank transfer, you can write out payment details if it is not possible to print the document. Then go to the nearest Sberbank branch and send a money transfer to your wallet.

Electronic money can be cashed out very quickly and withdrawn to a plastic card using any trusted “exchanger” or, on the contrary, money can be transferred from a bank card to an electronic account.

The main leaders of electronic money systems for several years have been: Webmoney, QIWI, Yandex.Money. Although electronic payment systems have different names, they perform the same role.

Fifthly, this is relevant. Payment with plastic cards on the Russian Internet has not yet received widespread use; cash on delivery is not used by all Internet services. Therefore, the only alternative for payment remains electronic currency. This is very convenient both for consumers and for sellers of online stores.

The relevance of virtual money today has increased so much that you can easily use even a mobile phone to make any payment.

Electronic wallets are gaining increasing popularity in the Russian Federation. There are currently several types of electronic payment systems operating in the country. Some allow you to buy in foreign online stores, others are combined with a mobile phone, and others only work with Russian rubles. You can choose the appropriate one based on functionality. The article describes some types of popular wallets.

Types of electronic wallets

The main purpose of electronic payment systems is online payments, which eliminate the need for users to transfer money in person. Different types of drives differ in interface, convenience, ease or complexity of use, set of functions and protection measures. According to these principles they are divided into:
  • Wallets that support one electronic currency (Yandex.Money);
  • Multicurrency electronic wallet systems (WebMoney, OKPAY);
  • Drives that contain not only electronic funds, but also make it possible to automatically accept payment for goods (RBK Money).

Unified electronic wallet

Unified Wallet W1 is an electronic payment system that provides services for making payments online. You can use the service through digital devices with Internet access: computers, laptops, mobile phones. To register, you need a valid cell phone number and access to the World Wide Web.   • pay utility bills and Internet service providers;
  • top up mobile operator accounts;
  • repay accounts payable.

You can cash out funds from a single wallet using postal transfers or the “Contact” payment system. The procedure takes no more than a minute.

The Troika card is used to pay for travel on Moscow public transport. It was introduced in 2013, when tariffs for using public transport changed. The Troika electronic wallet is a plastic card for storing money for travel. That is, this is a transport electronic storage device.

Similar maps are available in most large cities with active traffic flow. The main goals of introducing the Troika in the Russian capital are:

  1. Reduced queues due to the fact that there is no need to top up the card after each trip;
  2. Creation of a general map for all types of transport.

The card can be obtained at any metro ticket office or at Mosgortrans kiosks. The buyer pays a deposit of 50 rubles and a fee that corresponds to the cost of one ride on public transport.

Then the card holder will be able to top up the account at ticket offices or automatic machines of the metro and Mosgortrans or return the card and receive the deposit amount back. The minimum contribution amount is 1 ruble, the maximum is 3000. Deposited funds do not expire for 5 years after the last replenishment. And after the first year, the card will become protected from loss or theft. To do this, the owner must undergo voluntary personalization.

Paypal e-wallet

This international payment system is called one of the most relevant for making purchases abroad. In addition, you can use this electronic storage device to pay for goods and services on the Internet. Paypal differs from similar electronic wallets in the following features:

  1. Opening an account is free. The system does not charge interest when sending funds. The commission is taken by the bank where the applicant’s account is opened. They are charged for currency conversion during a transaction.
  2. Payment for services in Paypal is calculated not from the sender, but from the recipient. The amount depends on the type of account (Personal, Premier, Business).
  3. There are certain restrictions for residents of CIS countries. For example, in Russia, payments for purchases are made without hindrance. But until 2011, there were nuances associated with the movement of finances: it was possible to deposit money, but the money was withdrawn only to an American bank account. Now there is a limit of $500 for sending payments.

Beeline electronic wallet

Like other Big Three operators (MegaFon, Beeline, MTS), Beeline created its own micropayment system. To develop the mobile payments project, electronic wallets have been developed without commission for transactions. The service, called RURU, was created jointly with Alfa-Bank and allows you to:

The disadvantages of this system include a vulnerable security system. By restoring the mobile number, the scammers also gain access to the wallet. The phone number is used as is and will have to be disclosed for transactions.

Important point: this payment system is one of the few that charges a commission when replenishing a mobile account.

  1. Before registering an electronic wallet, you need to determine the currency that will be used to pay for purchases or conduct business on the Internet. Universal payment system – WebMoney. It allows you to open more than one account and use not only rubles, but also dollars, euros, and other currencies.
  2. The main advantage of any electronic wallet is the ability to transfer and receive virtual funds without waiting and anywhere. Within one system, sending money is not subject to commission; when transferring in different systems, a percentage of the amount is withdrawn.
  3. The ease of use of electronic wallets attracts both law-abiding users and scammers. Therefore, be careful and follow safety precautions:
  • install antivirus;
  • use a complex password;
  • Do not tell your login and password to strangers.

The popularity of electronic payment systems is difficult to overestimate.

The ability to instantly pay for goods and services and make money transfers in real time and anywhere is convenient for both freelancers, businessmen, and ordinary users.

There are many payment systems that allow you to transfer money anywhere, anytime. Let's look at the most popular ones.

WebMoney payment system

The WebMoney system allows you to instantly make secure and anonymous payments for goods and services. The instrument of lending and payments in the system are conventional monetary units:

1 WMZ: equivalent to 1 US dollar.
1 WMU: equivalent to 1 hryvnia.
1 WMR: equivalent to 1 ruble.
1 WME: equivalent to 1 euro.

Regardless of the operation performed, the system charges a standard commission of 0.8%. Anyone who has reached the age of majority can become a full participant in the system. To do this, you must go through the registration procedure.

How to register in WebMoney

The next step will require you to enter your phone number. Please note that you need to enter a number that has not been used before in the system.

Fill in the empty fields in the window that opens and click “Continue.” Check again that the entered data is correct, then confirm it by clicking “Next”.

Go to the mailbox specified during registration to view the registration code, which is required to confirm your mailing address. Enter the registration code and click “Next” or click on the link in the letter. Enter the code sent to your smartphone, click “Continue”.

To complete registration, you should come up with a good password and enter it in the appropriate fields. Registration is completed. However, to fully use electronic money, you will need to create wallets.

To do this, you need to go to the “Wallets” tab in your personal account, select the desired monetary equivalent, agree to the terms of the user agreement and click the “Create” button.

The wallet has been successfully created. In my case, it was assigned a number - R525586508927, where R is the designation of the ruble (Russian rubles) equivalent. Now, by indicating this wallet number, you have the opportunity to pay for services, make transfers and perform other operations in the system. Wallets can be managed directly through the Webmoney wallet site itself or using specialized software (Keeper WinPro).

Please note that during the registration process you received an alias certificate. This is the lowest level of certificates in the system and does not inspire confidence among users. To obtain a formal certificate, you must upload data and color scans of your passport to the WebMoney Transfer Attestation Center. The system does not charge a fee for obtaining a formal certificate. Professional certificates are required to work in the system as an Arbitrator or Registrar.

Withdrawal methods:

1) using the WebMoney.Cards service.

You can order the issuance of new cards and instantly top them up using your webmoney wallet:

Using these cards you can pay in stores and withdraw cash from ATMs. Please note that when withdrawing funds, a commission of 0.6% is charged, plus the standard system commission of 0.8%. To open a card, you must have a certificate of at least a formal one.

Review of the Yandex.Money payment system

The Yandex.Money electronic payment system allows you to make instant payments between users. Initially, it was developed for mutual settlements between residents of the Russian Federation, so it uses only one monetary unit - the Russian ruble. The system uses modern Paycash information security technology.

Anyone can use Yandex.Money. To do this, you need to go through a simple registration procedure. Yandex.Money does not charge commissions for payments to connected stores and account top-ups. When transferring to another wallet, a commission of 0.5% of the payment amount is charged.

How to register in the Yandex.Money system:

Any wallet opened in the system is anonymous. This imposes restrictions on deposits and withdrawals of funds, as well as on internal transactions. Thus, an anonymous person cannot store more than 15 thousand rubles in his wallet; a one-time payment is limited to a similar limit.

Obtaining personal status for a citizen of the Russian Federation is quite simple. To do this you need to go through the identification procedure:

1) in the upper right corner under the wallet number, click the “Anonymous” link;

2) in the window that opens, click “Get personal status”;

3) enter your passport details.

Input methods:

1) transfers through the systems “Contact”, Anelic, “Unistream”, “City”;
2) in self-service terminals;
3) Yandex.Money prepaid card;
4) cash at the bank (Sberbank-online);
5) direct transfers to the wallet from other users.

Withdrawal methods:

1) using a Yandex.Money bank card. The card allows you to pay in hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and withdraw cash from ATMs in any country where there is a reader with the MasterCard PayPass sign. You won’t have to pay anything for issuing the card and delivery; 3 years of card maintenance cost 149 rubles;
2) to a card of any bank. This withdrawal method involves a commission of 3% + 15 rubles (up to 3 business days);
3) to the bank account of individuals and legal entities (up to 3 working days);
4) expedited transfer to one of the following banks: Alfa Bank, Otkritie Bank, Promsvyazbank, Tinkoff Bank (within a few minutes);
