How to save the game for play games. How to transfer mobile game saves to another device? How to restore progress in games on Android on the server

Today, mobile games are as popular as Dendy was 20 years ago. They are the perfect escape from boredom. But, you bought a new tablet - the latest model. Or, you decided to replace your green robot with a bitten apple. How to transfer all game saves to a new device? You'll find out soon.

Transferring saves from one Android device to another

The Android operating system has quite a few differences from iOS. It has many advantages, but a single data warehouse has not yet been thought through. You can’t just hit copy/paste and transfer files from one device to another. Therefore, moving game saves is necessary using special programs.

File managers come to the rescue. An example of such a program TapPouch Wi-Fi File Transfer. It is free and suitable for all Android versions starting from version 2.2. This application will help you transfer all the files of the desired game to another device.

To get started with the file manager, install it on two devices that are connected to the same Wi-Fi. Next, launch TapPouch, select the desired folder with the game and transfer all files using the Share files option. On the receiving device you need to confirm the receipt of the file and enter the password.

But, if you still can’t move the saves, then only the program can come to the rescue Titanium Backup, with the help of which the files will be transferred. To do this you need to do the following.

  1. Unlock and get superuser rights.
  2. Install Titanium Backup on two devices - “donor” and “receiver”.
  3. Create a backup of the desired application and transfer the resulting files to a similar folder on an “empty” device.
  4. Next, on the same device, in Titanium Backup, go to the “Backups” tab and restore the application we are interested in.
  5. Luck smiled and everything was saved on the new phone. You can continue playing.

Transfer files from iOS to Android and back

But here everything is not as simple as in the previous version. You cannot simply transfer saves to a device with a different operating system. These devices have completely different architectures. And even if you transfer save files or an entire game from Android to iOS, you won’t get any results. But, fortunately, everything is not so bad. And that's why.

There are games that use cloud storage rather than phone memory to store information. Most often, such applications use Game Center. That is, all your saves are stored on the Internet. For example, Clash of Clans.

If an application saves files in the device’s memory, then the save can only be transferred to the same operating system. That is, from iOS to iOS or from Android to Android. So if your phones have different operating systems, then you are lucky enough to play your favorite game again.

So, what is next?

Gradually, game creators are coming to the point that all information is stored on the Internet, and you can play from any phone. In the meantime, transferring game results from one device to a second requires a lot of time. If you still haven’t been able to transfer your saves, then think about whether it might be better to start the game again or download a new one.

To use cloud storage for your saved games, you need:

  • An Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription
  • A console connected to the Xbox Live service
  • 514 megabytes (MB) of storage space on your console (local cache)

Step 1: Turn on Cloud Saved Games (for a console)

  1. settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage, and then select Cloud Saved Games.
  3. Select Enable Cloud Saved Games.

A local cache is reserved on your console, and you can now save or move saved games to the cloud. For more information about this cache, see the section under When is my cloud game save uploaded to the cloud below.

If you get an error message when you turn on cloud saves games, see .

Step 2: Save or move a saved game to the cloud

  • New game: When you start a new game, the game usually asks you where you want to save your game progress (your saved game). If you turned on Cloud Saved Games (step 1), select Cloud Saved Games as the storage device. Now every time you sign in to your Xbox profile and play the game, your saved game is automatically stored in the cloud.
  • Existing game saves: If you have an existing saved game that you want to store in the cloud, you can move the saved game to the cloud. Here's how:
  1. Sign in to your Xbox profile.
  2. Go to settings, and then select System.
  3. Select Storage.
  4. Select the storage device that contains the saved game that you want to move to the cloud.
  5. Select Games.
  6. Select the game with your saved game.
  7. Select your saved game.
  8. Select Move.
  9. Select Cloud Saved Games.

You can copy, move, or delete saved games that are stored in the cloud, just as you would copy, move, or delete items on your hard drive. For more information, see Copy, move, or delete content.

Use a cloud game save on another console

When is my game save uploaded to the cloud?

While you're playing a game, your game save is cached locally on your console. When you exit the game, your game save is automatically moved to the cloud. You don’t need to do anything to make this happen (other than the two setup steps above). If you look at your Active Downloads list, you can see the status of your game save being uploaded to the cloud (to see your active downloads, press the Guide button on your controller, select Games & Apps, and then select Active Downloads).

In a hurry to turn off your console?

Don't worry! You can turn off your console before a game save is uploaded to the cloud. When you turn off your console, your console stays in low power mode until the game save is uploaded to the cloud (that is, as long as the console has power and is connected to the Internet).

Important Unplugging your console or disconnecting your console from the Internet will cause the game save upload to pause until the next time your console connects to the Xbox Live service. If this happens, you won’t be able to use the saved game on any other consoles. If you get an error related to cloud game saves, see Troubleshoot game saves in the cloud .

Turn off cloud storage for saved games

There are two options to turn off cloud storage for game saves:

  1. Move saved games out of the cloud and turn off cloud saves

First, you need to move your game saves out of the cloud. See Copy, move, or delete content for steps on how to move content from one storage device to another (for example, from Cloud Saved Games to Hard Drive).

Once you"ve done this, you can turn off cloud storage. Here’s how:

    1. From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, go to settings, and then select System.
    2. Select Storage.
    3. Highlight Cloud Saved Games, and then press the Y button on your controller.
    4. Select Disable Cloud Saved Games.
  2. Keep saved games in the cloud and turn off cloud saves

You can turn off cloud storage for a single console and keep your saved games in the cloud for you to use on another console. Here's how:

    1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings, and then select System.
    2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
    3. Select System Items, and then select Cloud Storage Console Copy.
    4. Select Delete.

Note You will be asked to confirm that you want your saved games to remain in the cloud, and future updates to your saved games will not be synced with this console.

Well, in fact, it’s a shame when you develop lands, mine, extract resources, bend the enemy, capturing his territory, and - on you! What happened, and all your efforts, as they say, went to waste, and starting the game all over again, you even give up...

By reinstalling the application

To perform the procedure for restoring the game process using this method on the same device or any other of the same type, we need to do a few simple steps:

Download and install the game through your Google account (the one that was used for the previous game).

Then we go through the first three levels (a stable Internet connection is required).

After this, a window will open asking you to continue the game to restore your progress:

To be able to use this method, the following conditions are necessary: and it must be a PRO version, otherwise, if the game is saved, the passage itself will not be saved.

The backup process will begin immediately. I must say that it can last quite a long time (depending on the capabilities of the device and the weight of the game itself). Upon completion of the procedure, in the “Backups” tab you will be able to see the number of backups created (in the screenshot - 1 backup), the date and time of creation.

Everything in this case, backups are created on sdcard. If the game you are interested in takes up a lot of memory, then you can easily store it on your PC by moving it to your computer using a USB cable.

How to save and restore progress in games on Android (without ROOT)

In this part of the article we will talk about the Helium - App Sync and Backup program. This utility makes it possible to save gameplay on a non-rooted device, so it represents serious competition to Titanium Backup.

Setting up Helium:

Download the Helium application and install it on your Android device. The next step is to download and install the Helium Desktop App on your desktop or laptop (you can skip this step if your device is rooted). If necessary, if ADB drivers have not been installed on the PC, then find them on the manufacturer’s website, download and install them.

Now you can start creating backups:

We connect our device to the computer via a USB cable, launch Helium by clicking on the application icon on the desktop. We skip the prompt that appears on the screen to install the program on the PC (we did this), open the menu (three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the display), select “Backup” and in the list that appears, check off those applications or games that we will make backup copies of. After this, the “Reserve” button located in the lower right corner of the screen will become active, click on it. A window will open asking you to select a location to store your backups:

Then the data backup process will begin, and upon completion, a message indicating the completion of the procedure will appear. What needs to be done to restore copies. Launch Helium again, press the menu button and select “Restore and Sync”:

We select the storage in which we saved the data, select the desired game (or application), check the box, after which the “Recovery” button will become active. Click, wait for the process to complete, and enjoy life:

To send a backup copy of the data to a PC, we need to open the menu, select “Download PC”, after which the server will be launched, which will display the IP address. You need to copy it and place it in the address bar of your browser. At the entered address, a page with a simple and clear interface will open, through which you can perform a backup.

If an app or game on your Android device was deleted (either on purpose or unintentionally), you may want to get it back. You can restore a deleted application on Android using a few simple steps.

But let's look first possible reasons for deletion:

How to return a deleted application on an Android smartphone or tablet

2. In the upper left corner, click the button in the form of three lines.

4. Click on the "All" tab.

Here you will see a list of applications that have ever been installed on your device. Opposite the installed applications will be the words “Installed” or “Update”. Uninstalled apps will be marked as "Free" or offer a purchase option if the app is paid.

The essence of this method for recovering deleted Android applications comes down to searching and reinstalling programs. For more advanced backup and recovery, you can use special programs, such as App Backup & Restore.

In 2015 More than 1.5 million applications and games could be downloaded on Google Play. Android users often install applications indiscriminately and then delete them after a while as unnecessary. But what if you want to return something but can't remember the name?

Especially for such unlucky users, Google keeps a list of all applications and games ever installed, even after uninstallation. Applications installed on old devices will also be there, provided that you use the same Google account.

The full list can be viewed in your Google Play account. Open the Google Play app on your Android phone or tablet and click on the menu button (3 horizontal lines in the top left corner). Next, tap "My Apps & Games." Then click the "All" button and you will see all the titles.

Clicking on a deleted application will take you to its page on Google Play, from where you can reinstall it. If you do not want to clutter the list with deleted applications or games, then click on the X in the upper right corner.

P.S.: The tutorial was made on the basis of a smartphone with a template OS Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. On devices with a different operating system, everything may look different.

If an app or game on your Android device was deleted (either on purpose or unintentionally), you may want to get it back. You can restore a deleted application on Android using...

In this review, we will highlight several of the most popular “cloud for Android” applications. Which one to choose is up to you. Keep in mind - you won't notice much of a difference. Therefore, you should not count on super functionality.

Nowadays, cloud services are becoming increasingly popular among ordinary users. This is due to the fact that it is often necessary to store and retrieve information at the right time in the right place, and cloud servers provide just this. There are a huge number of clouds. They are all similar and perform approximately the same function - they store data.

Yandex Disk (Download)

Where would we be without our native Yandex! Sometimes it seems that no matter what application you choose, Yandex will always have an analogue. Yandex.Disk is an excellent Android cloud for storing information outside of your smartphone or other device. Very convenient, responsive interface and file downloading. Ability to share files, folders, documents via download links. This function is actually very convenient and does not require a lot of Internet traffic and phone resources. You simply send a link to these files, and the user who needs them simply downloads them by following the link.

Initially, you are given access to 10 GB of cloud storage, but you can expand it if necessary. Not for free, of course. In general, 10 GB is quite enough for the needs of the average user, why bother? Of the obvious disadvantages: when downloading more than 2 GB from the cloud, the application becomes very slow and freezes. The application does not have background loading, which makes Yandex.Disk useless for some users.

Google Drive (Download)

This application is pre-installed on almost all Android devices and is the default cloud storage. Therefore, 1 billion downloads does not surprise anyone. A distinctive feature is auto-syncing of photos into a specific Google Photos folder. It's actually very convenient. The application performs all the functions of a regular cloud storage, but does it quickly and efficiently. It downloads any files, of any size, does not generate errors and loads everything correctly. There is one caveat - frequent freezing and spontaneous cancellation of background loading. But, nevertheless, at least there is background loading, because it’s convenient. The latest update added document search. This is a huge plus; it was sorely lacking in previous versions. Another cool feature is scanning documents using the camera. Although it recognizes, of course, not perfectly. Helps out in situations where you need to quickly scan something and convert it into text. The amount of available cloud storage does not exceed 15 GB. They are quite enough for everyday use.

The downsides include rare but annoying crashes. They are associated with high resource consumption, especially for weak devices. Expanding storage capacity requires cash and a mandatory annual prepayment. If you need 1 TB, you will have to pay as much as 6,990 rubles per year.

Degoo (Download)

Good cloud android, but the interface and intuitiveness lets you down. 100 GB storage. A lot of? Yes many. Using Degoo in normal mode, uploading photos and the occasional video, you will not fill this entire volume for a long time. Personally, we couldn't. An interesting feature is inviting friends. For each newbie you will receive +3 GB of free space. The application has enormous functionality. But, unfortunately, it requires improvement. The upload and download paths are very inconvenient and unclear. Some of the files (even though it says they were downloaded) cannot be found on the server.

File security is top notch - reliable data encryption methods are used, and the files themselves are duplicated as many as 3 times. Overall very good! As in most cases, you need to invest money to expand the capacity, but 100 GB is enough.

Cloud Mail ru (Download)

Convenient, fast, simple. Mail.ru made a simply amazing application. Almost perfect, add a built-in media player and file search - it will be just 11 out of 10! Yes, the search and player are implemented in Google Drive, but in our subjective opinion, the ease of use and use of this cloud is better than Google Drive. There are no unnecessary buttons or unclear terms, everything is simple and tasteful. Clicked - loaded - done. What else does? Supports background downloading and automatic synchronization of folders and files. In general, it does everything that an ordinary user needs. There are extremely rare lags with downloading files larger than 3 GB. For example, we noticed this when loading the film. But why do you need a movie in cloud storage?

It is possible to “share” (distribute) access to the disk to other users. Then there will be no need to send files at all. Just tell your friend the name of the document, he will find it and download it himself, without links or complications. It is possible to get more storage memory, again, for real money. But at a very reasonable price.

Dropbox (Download)

500 million downloads says a lot. If Google Drive were not a standard program installed by default on all Android phones, then Dropbox would probably become the most popular program for storing files in the cloud. The design is excellent, comfortable and correct. Everything is as it should be - fewer buttons, more interactivity. The functionality is huge, you can edit documents directly in the cloud.

The incomprehensible allocated volume of the cloud is disappointing. Some people have 5 GB, others 2 GB. How can this be explained and understood? We did not understand. It is possible to invite friends. For each new one you will receive 500 MB - not enough. The main disadvantage is the small amount of memory. But it never crashes or lags, all files are loaded in the right order. And the biggest plus is a very user-friendly interface.

Overall the application is very high quality and optimized. It is clear that the developers are working hard on the performance and functionality of Dropbox. Premium account only for cash in the amount of about 350 rubles. A little. To be honest, we see no reason NOT to buy. A decent Android cloud and it’s worth paying tribute to the developers. Especially if they increase the cloud to 100 GB - simply Top-1.

G Cloud (Download)

An interesting, but too intrusive application. When you open the vault, you will immediately be told “Buy, buy, buy!” Lots of ads, banners, pop-ups that can only be removed after purchasing premium. And it’s not a fact that all advertising will go away. Too much of it is downright annoying. Apparently the developers decided to bring a little creativity and added the ability to expand the volume of the cloud by performing various tasks. Among these tasks: click here, do something 10 times, give 20 likes, etc. The idea is interesting and could bring the application to the very top, but... Excessive advertising. The application is stable and fast. All necessary information is shown interactively in pictures and graphs. Nothing special, just a good cloud with an interesting idea.

MEGA (Download)

50 GB of free space in cloud storage, convenience and high data transfer speeds - Mega boasts of this with all its might. The capabilities of the application are very high. You can choose an unlimited number of contacts to share your cloud with. Loading files is very fast, backup copies of files are created, and their images are stored in a cache. Search for files and folders is perfectly implemented. In addition, you can change the appearance of file icons. Auto-sync of contacts and photos from your device is supported. You can make a link from any file and send it to anyone, in general, just like in other cloud servers. There is a complete blocking of the application using a PIN code. It allows you to protect data copied to your Android cloud from unauthorized persons who take your phone in their hands. You never know what kind of information is stored there? There are opportunities to expand the volume, as elsewhere, for money. The premium package expands the cloud to 4 TB, which is incredibly large.

CM Backup (Download)

A simple and convenient application that allows you to store files with a total volume of no more than 5 GB. Excellent backup functions based on a specific time and date - very convenient and fast. Ability to save call logs, contacts, SMS and calendar lists. Moreover, you can set your own backup schedule, for example once a month. There is an interactive game with which you can get additional space in the cloud. The game is similar to the game "rock, paper, scissors". You place a bet on one of the listed options, respectively, another user makes his own. The selection is completely random. The winner receives an additional amount of memory in the amount of the bet that must be made before the start of the game. The application is interesting and definitely deserves attention. To expand the volume to 1 TB you need to pay $6 per year.
